What is Montessori & Co.?
Montessori is a pedological approach that is centered around creating an autonomous environment within limits and goal appropriate tasks that promotes cognitive, social, emotional, and psychomotor skills.
Inspired by Montessori & Co.
At Kinder we are inspired by many theories and practitioners in education, specifically 3 philosophies are very meaningful to us:
Montessori, Pikler and Reggio Emilia.

How do we use it at Kinder?
Although we are not a full Montessori & Co school, we have adapted the teachings and activities that are consistent with the Montessori & Co way of teaching. This includes a component of “everyday life skills” which involves learning how to walk downstairs for 1-year-olds and serving themselves lunches at the age of 4.
What resources do we provide?
We have Montessori & Co materials in each classroom that are age appropriate for our babies groups to our 4-5-year-old groups, Each material has been picked out by trained Montessori instructors, and adapted to the respective language of the group.
